Nannies

A nanny is a child care professional with experience or qualifications. They are responsible for your childs well being and development.

At Petals we recruit our nannies on the basis of experience and qualifications. We insist that they have police/Enhanced CRB checks and are First Aid trained.

We provide daily, live in and overnight nannies. All can be supplied on a temporary or permanent basis

Here at Petals we insist that our nannies have suitable experience or one of the following qualifications.

Certificate or Diploma in Childcare and Education (this covers working with children under eight, including those with special needs.
Level 3 Diploma in Home-based Childcare (created with the National Childminding Association, this course gives nannies the skills to develop children from birth to 16)
BTEC National Certificate or Diploma in Early Years (this course covers good practice in a range of childcare settings).

We expect our nannies to use their knowledge and skills to facilitate the emotional and physical well being of your child.

Step by step guide

Registration

You will need to register with us via phone, email or you can complete our online registration form. When we have received your enquiry one of our placement consultants will contact you.

Profiles

When you have completed and signed our client registration form, we will then send profiles of suitable candidates. Please note that there is a one off fee of £35 before we can send you these. This is to ensure that you are serious about your search and to cover our costs if you decide to pursue another option.

Interviews

When you have familiarised yourself with the candidates and short listed the profiles, personal interviews may be arranged. It is normal practice for child carers to visit you at your home. This gives you the opportunity to observe the candidates interaction with your children and to ask any questions that you may have.

Confirmation

When you have decided on a candidate our experienced placement consultants will guide you through the next stage. Our expertise involve advising you on PAYE and drawing up a suitable contract.

Support

We provide ongoing support before, during and after your placement is confirmed and are always available to discuss and queries that you may have.
